Thai Airways unveils new Perth flights, expands Australia capacity

Flag carrier Thai Airways has confirmed the restart of Perth flights from late March.

The airline will restart flights to Perth, flying daily from Bangkok starting March 31.

It will operate 266-seater Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft on the route.

It becomes Thai’s third current Australian destination on its route map.

The route is being marketed to the UK as a convenient London-Australia one-stop option.

The UK remains a top source market for Western Australia.

The Bangkok-Perth route was last operated before the pandemic.

The airline is also expanding capacity to Sydney.

A second Thai Airways daily flight to Sydney commences a day later on April 1, 2024, operated by Airbus A350 jets.
