United Airlines Expands Grab-and-Go Lounge Concept in Houston

Enhancing Convenience at George Bush Intercontinental

United Airlines has opened its second United Club Fly location at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). This grab-and-go lounge concept is designed for travelers who need a quick snack or beverage before their flight. The new facility allows eligible passengers to enter seamlessly by scanning their boarding pass at automated gates.

Located on the south side of Terminal B, United Club Fly offers a selection of premium food and beverages, including fresh-squeezed orange juice, warmed pastries, wraps, salads, and sandwiches. A full-service coffee bar provides barista-made drinks, helping travelers avoid long lines at airport cafés. The self-service beverage counter features a reusable water bottle refilling station and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, such as sodas and iced tea.

Exclusive Access and Key Features

Houston’s United Club Fly is available to United Club Members, one-time pass holders, premium cabin travelers flying with United, and Star Alliance Gold members flying internationally. Due to its compact size and convenience-focused design, the lounge does not allow guests, has no restrooms, and provides limited seating. Alcoholic beverages are also not available at this location.

United first introduced the Club Fly concept in Denver in 2022, making it the first U.S. airline to launch a grab-and-go lounge. Since then, over 300,000 travelers have used the Denver facility.

United’s Investment in Houston and Future Growth

The new United Club Fly location is part of United’s $2.6 billion investment to renovate and expand Terminal B at Houston IAH. The airline is also adding a new United Club location, an Early Bag Storage Facility, and a state-of-the-art baggage system. United continues to upgrade its lounges, with expanded Polaris Lounges opening in Chicago and Newark this year.
