United Airlines Enhances Mobile App with Full Spanish Language Support

United Airlines has introduced full Spanish language capability to its mobile app, enabling Spanish-speaking customers to navigate the platform more seamlessly. Travelers can now complete tasks such as check-in, receiving boarding passes, and accessing automatic re-booking assistance entirely in Spanish.

The app also provides real-time flight information in Spanish, integrating features like Live Activities for iPhone and Apple Watch. These updates include boarding countdowns, gate and seat details, and baggage carousel information. For devices set to Spanish, the app will automatically display content in the user’s preferred language.

United began offering select app features in Spanish in June and has since reported a 10% increase in Spanish-speaking travelers using the advance check-in feature.

The rollout follows earlier enhancements, including Spanish translations for airport digital signage on flights departing the U.S. to Spanish-speaking destinations. This initiative aligns with United’s broader commitment to improving accessibility and enhancing the travel experience for its diverse customer base.
