Thai Airways is set to relaunch services to Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) and Oslo Gardermoen Airport (OSL) this summer after a nearly four-year pause.
Return of THAI
From July 1, the Thai flag carrier will operate daily services to Milan and Oslo from its hub at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), strengthening its Europe-bound capacity. On its Bangkok – Milan route, Thai Airways will deploy its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet, offering 298 seats in a two-class configuration, while Bangkok – Oslo will see the slightly larger 348-seat Boeing 777-300ER, also featuring economy and business class seating.
Flights to Milan are scheduled to depart Bangkok at 00:40 ICT at TG904 and arrive in Milan at 07:35 CET. The return leg, TG941, will leave Milan at 14:05 and land in Bangkok at 05:55 the following morning. You can find flights for this service here.
Services to Oslo will be operated under TH954, departing Bangkok for 00:55 ICT and landing in Norway at 07:25 CET. Returning the same day as TG955, the flight will depart Oslo at 14:15 CET, arriving in Bangkok at 06:15 IST the following morning. Find flights for this here.
The long and short haul of it
Alongside Milan and Oslo, Thai Airways is set to add a mix of resumed services and frequency increases on six international routes from March 31.
Into Australia, flights to Perth Airport (PER) are set to resume, with Thai Airways utilizing its 787-8 on the long-haul hop. An additional daily Airbus A350-900XWB service to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) will also launch, complementing its existing 777 operations to the city.
Though it has yet to open bookings, the carrier has confirmed it will resume operations between Bangkok and Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) in Colombo with its A320 fleet.
