STARLUX Airlines and Etihad Forge Strategic Codeshare

STARLUX Airlines and Etihad Forge Strategic Codeshare to Bridge Asia and Europe
A New Chapter in Global Connectivity

Taiwan’s STARLUX Airlines has partnered with Gulf carrier Etihad Airways to boost global reach and route flexibility.

Announced at the IATA AGM in New Delhi, the agreement connects travelers across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

Expanded Access Through Abu Dhabi

Starting September 7, 2025, Etihad launches daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Taipei on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

This route creates a key gateway for STARLUX customers heading to Europe and Etihad passengers bound for Asia.

Seamless Travel, More Destinations

Codeshare flights will be bookable with single-ticket convenience and automatic baggage transfers.

From Taipei, passengers can reach Prague, Madrid, and Barcelona through Abu Dhabi on Etihad-operated flights.

Likewise, Etihad passengers can connect to Nagoya, Sapporo, and Fukuoka via STARLUX flights.

Mutual Growth and Shared Values

Etihad’s Arik De said STARLUX’s premium service aligns perfectly with Etihad’s own global reputation.
STARLUX’s Simon Liu emphasised the partnership’s role in laying the foundation for future European routes.

Rewarding Loyalty, Together

Both airlines will launch joint promotions in Taiwan and introduce reciprocal frequent flyer benefits by year-end.

Etihad Guest members will earn and redeem miles across both networks, enhancing value for loyal travelers.

STARLUX’s Growing Global Ambitions

STARLUX now operates 32 routes across Asia and North America, recently launching flights to Ontario, California.

With Phoenix coming in February 2026, the airline continues to strengthen its U.S. presence.

Abu Dhabi: The Rising Global Hub

With Zayed International Airport’s world-class facilities and Etihad’s free Abu Dhabi Stopover programme, the city becomes even more attractive.

The STARLUX partnership further positions Abu Dhabi as a premium hub connecting East and West.

The partnership promises flexibility, convenience, and expanded global access for travelers on both networks.
