Blue Marine Travel Ltd is a privately owned marine travel consultancy based in the UK with IATA accreditation, handling both corporate and marine travel.
Established in 2004, our many years of experience allows us to provide a personalised service to our clients and travellers, delivery efficiency and value. We spend time with our staff and it shows.
Our stability and confidence is demonstrated through our attention to detail and our personal service offering.
Nikk Slowey joined Blue Marine Travel in January 2016 and is based in our Lowestoft office.
Nikk Slowey joined Blue Marine Travel in January 2016 and is based in our Lowestoft office. She lives with her husband in Woodbridge and has been working in the world of marine travel for over five years. Prior to this she worked for a small independent high end travel company organising tailor made holidays to places such as Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
In her spare time she enjoys sewing and listening to music. On the weekends Nikk enjoys spending quality time with her lovely family and friends or alternatively you will find her outside – either taking long walks or doing some gardening.
Nikk is definitely the adventurous type, she loves camping and walking for miles around the beautiful countryside with her husband. This year Nikk has been to some beautiful parts of both Yorkshire and Wales and can recommend some stunning camping destinations.
One of Nikk’s many talents is baking! She is one of a kind when it comes to making cakes, her best being a chocolate fudge cake!
Claire has been working in the Marine Travel Industry of just over 13 years and joined the Blue Marine Travel team in June 2015.
Claire Jebali lives in Hamble on the South Coast with her partner and 3 step children.
Claire has been working in the Marine Travel Industry for just over 15 years and joined the Blue Marine Travel team in June 2015.
In her spare time she enjoys going to the cinema and theatre. She loves to spend time with her family and also enjoys visiting stately homes and historical castles.
Claire of course loves to travel and has be fortunate to visit some amazing places. Her favourites being Australia and Skianthos.
Donna is originally from Essex but now lives in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
Donna is originally from Essex but has been living in Palmerston North on the North Island of New Zealand for the past 15 years with her husband and two children.
Living in New Zealand has afforded Donna many holidays to the South Pacific, the highlight of which was travelling to the Vava’u islands of Tonga to swim in open water with the Humpback whales and their calves. She found this so amazing that she went back the following year to do it again!
Whilst Donna loves the occasional visit back to the UK & Europe, New Zealand is where she now calls her home.
Apart from enjoying the stunning scenery of New Zealand, Donna also loves Zumba, spending lazy days at the Beach and having family time.
Donna would love to visit both Tahiti and Vietnam in the future.
Tracy started working for Blue marine travel in March 2014 after a 10 years break from corporate travel
Tracy started working for Blue Marine Travel in March 2014 after a 10 year break from corporate travel. She lives in Thaxted with her husband and teenage children, Jade and Samuel.
Having worked in travel for many years she has seen some wonderful places in the world – Ko Chang in Thailand being one of her favourites.
Other than travelling Tracy loves socialising with her friends. She enjoys going out for meals or having friends over and being the hostess with the mostess! Tracy values her family time and watching her children grow up.
Places still on Tracy’s bucket list are Bora Bora, Vietnam and Sri Lanka.
Phil Webster has been working in the marine industry since 1992 and lives in Portchester on the South Coast of England-

He lives at home with his girlfriend and Eric his Shih-Tzu dog who has perfected the art of failing to retrieve any tennis ball that is thrown…(that’s his dog, not his girlfriend).
He has visited quite a few countries around the world and has been to Las Vegas eight times (and counting) but does insist it’s for the culture and not anything else..
In his spare time he likes nearly all sports but draws the line at Formula 1 as, in his words, if he wanted to see cars go around in circles he’d go to the roundabout in Swindon.
He supports Arsenal FC and was a season ticket holder for many years but gave it up once he moved to the South Coast (it was just a coincidence that it was around the same time that they hadn’t won the league in years).
Eleni lives in Piraeus in Greece with her 4 beautiful dogs and has been working in travel since 1999.

She loves her music and attends gigs in her free time. Her favourite music is rock and metal.
As she is an avid animal lover in her spare time she helps out at local animal shelter. As an animal lover she also embraces a vegan lifestyle and she is keen to obtain equal rights for animals to ours on this planet.
She of course loves to travel but is equally happy at home in the beautiful historic country of Greece.
Darren Cains has been working in the Marine travel industry for over 15 years dealing with a large range of Offshore and Marine global accounts.
Darren has been working in the Marine travel industry for over 15 years dealing with a large range of Offshore and Marine global accounts. He joined Blue Marine Travel in January 2016 and is currently working in our Lowestoft office.
Darren lives in a small village just outside of Lowestoft on the East coast with his wife and three children who keep him very busy!
In his spare time he loves supporting his children at their football matches and dance lessons. Darren enjoys going to the local beach on a sunny day where he can enjoy spending quality time with his family.
Darren loves watching films and also has a keen interest in Lego! He used to have an allotment but sadly had to give this up however he is hoping to obtain another one in the near future.
Not only does Darren enjoy going abroad for a family holiday where the sun is guaranteed, he also loves a camping holiday closer to home! He recently went away to Wells-Next-To-The-Sea which he said he would class as his favourite holiday destination in England.

Since leaving school Tara has enjoyed working within the travel industry and thoroughly enjoys the different challenges it brings.
In her spare time, Tara loves visiting her family Bach on the East Coast and taking long beach walks with the dog.

Liseth has been in the travel industry for over 16 years and in the marine travel industry since 2005.
Liseth Iglesis has been in the travel industry for over 16 years and in the marine travel industry since 2005.
Liseth started in the travel industry as an emergency support/ticketing agent for an afterhours service, a company that served agencies all over the world.
Liseth is bilingual and speaks Spanish fluently, of course as she is a Latina.
She lives in Houston and is a proud mother of two beautiful and smart girls Leyla and Ilany. Her third child is the family dog Coconut who is Chihuahua mix.
Liseth loves working in travel and truly enjoy helping others in any way she can. She enjoys getting to know our clients so that she can be more efficient in all their needs and make the process a little faster for them if she can.
Karen joined Blue Marine Travel in June 2015 and has worked in the marine travel industry for over 14 years.

She lives in the South of England in Hampshire with her husband, son and daughter.
In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family of nice days out or just playing with her children in the garden. She enjoys traveling and loves to go on family holidays.
Besides traveling, Karen enjoying watching and listening to live music. She enjoys eating out and likes to go out for nice meals on a regular basis.
Her favourite football team is Southampton and when possible she loves to go to the matches to cheer for her team.
Anna has been working in the travel industry for over twenty years and joined the Blue Marine Travel team in 2006.
Anna Mason has been working in the travel industry for over twenty years and joined the Blue Marine Travel team in 2006.
Anna and her husband have recently moved to Tenerife with their 3 dogs – Snoop, Smudge and Ube. In her spare time she enjoys taking her dogs for long talk and socialising with her friends and family.
Anna has always loved going on holidays in the sunshine with South Spain, Canary Islands and the Greek Islands being her favourites. She feels really privileged to be living in Tenerife now as she has the sunshine all year round!
Lee lives in Lowestoft, Suffolk and has been working for Blue Marine since 2007.

Lee has worked in the travel industry ever since leaving school and has been lucky enough during this time to visit some wonderful places through work, with China being one of his favourites.
Outside of work, Lee’s time is mostly spent with his family, enjoying the Suffolk coast line, the beaches and the copious amounts of Ice Cream, Fish and Chips and Pints of Cider (in no particular order!)
Lee’s other passions are football (Everton supporter for his sins), trying to keep fit at the local gym and enjoying (or should that be enduring) a weekly run with the local running club.
Heather has been working in the travel industry for over twenty years and joined the Blue Marine Travel team in 2008.
Heather Baker has been working in the travel industry for over twenty years and joined the Blue Marine Travel team in 2008.
Heather lives close to Stansted airport with her husband and daughter.
In her spare time, Heather likes to cook and like most females spend the day at the shops.
She also enjoys listening to music with Rock, Contemporary and Indie being her favourites, she is stuck in a 90’s time warp! In her spare time Heather helps run the local youth club and enjoys interacting with the children and organising activities for them.
She has family that lives in Singapore so this is a place that she visits on a regular basis and Heather considers this as one of her favourite places to visit.
Rachelle has been with Blue Marine Travel since 2006 and has been working in travel for over 19 years.
Rachelle has been with Blue Marine Travel since 2006 and has been working in travel for over 19 years and has experience in Retail, Corporate, and Marine Travel.
She is married and her and her husband both love to travel. Like every female, she loves to shop and enjoys visiting retail outlets at any opportunity. She also tries to remain healthy and exercises as often as possible and gets out in the outdoors when weather permits.
Rachelle likes to think she has green fingers and enjoys growing fruit and vegetables on her veg patch in the garden.
When not working Rachelle enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Rachelle is currently taking a break from Blue Marine Travel after the birth of her second baby but will be back next year.
After leaving school Lee started working as a messenger and trainee agent in London.
After leaving school Lee Baldwin started working as a messenger and trainee agent in London. 10 years later he moved to Houston, Texas and worked as an operations manager for a worldwide travel agency. He moved back to the UK in 2004 and decided to follow his dream of owning his own travel agency. Blue Marine Travel was born and is now one of the leaders in marine travel.
Lee’s hobbies include coaching his Son’s football team and watching his Daughters football team play.
Lee would say that his favourite place on the planet would be anywhere in the Caribbean, with St Thomas being one of his favourites.
Jo lives in Poole in Dorset and started working for Blue Marine Travel in January 2014.
Joanne Fairhurst lives in Poole in Dorset with her husband Steve and their two cats Lenny and Tom. She joined Blue Marine Travel in January 2014.
Prior to working for Blue Marine Travel, Jo spent many years at sea. Firstly on the Cruise Ships working for P&O cruises and then moving on to the Super Yachts where she worked as a Purser. Jo enjoys traveling and has been fortunate to travel to many places around the world with Antarctica probably being the most amazing place she has visited and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef coming a close second.
When she is not working, Jo has a few hobbies, she likes to cook for friends and play her favourite sport of tennis. When she can get a ticket you will find her at Wimbledon supporting her favourite tennis stars.
Sophie has worked in the marine travel industry for over 28 years with the majority of that time spent in accounting and office management.
Sophie Baldwin has worked in the marine travel industry for over 28 years with the majority of that time spent in accounting and office management.
She loves her work and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
Having studied art from an early age, she enjoys being creative in any form from making pottery to DIY and finding solutions to practical problems. Other hobbies are reading, watching movies and watching any sport, in particular she enjoys being a supportive mum to her 2 children from the side-lines.
Having travelled extensively over the years and lived outside the UK for seven years in various locations, Sophie’s favourite place is having family time anywhere in the world.
Tyler lives in Harlow in Essex with family and works in the Accounts department.

Upon leaving school, Tyler attended Hull University where she studied business economics. Once leaving University she had a career change and worked as a travelling event groom, a job that she thoroughly enjoyed which involved working with many different people and locations.
When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, shopping for new clothes and going to new places. She also loves to spend time with horses, riding them and taking part in groom competitions.
Tyler joined Blue Marine Travel as an Accounts Assistant and is enjoying learning about her new role and the travel industry.
Hannah joined Blue Marine Travel in September 2014 and works in the Human Resources Department.
Hannah lives in a small village with her husband and children. She joined Blue Marine Travel in September 2014 and works in the Human Resources Department.
Hannah graduated with Psychology from the University of Plymouth and started her career in human resources at Accenture, London. After a number of years she decided to pursue her interest in child development and gained P.G.C.E. at the University of Hertfordshire.
After living in New Zealand for 3 years and starting a family, Hannah and her husband decided to return to the UK so they could be closer to her family. Once they returned Hannah then went to work at a charity helping mothers who needed support which is something she found really rewarding.
Hannah has two children – Toby and Molly. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends, with a glass of gin & tonic of course! Hannah has a crafting business so she often sells her creations at crafts markets at weekends.
Travelling has always been in Hannah’s blood. Morocco is one of her favourite travel destinations where she has visited 5 times already and is hoping to go back to. Japan and Fiji are both places where Hannah would love to visit in the future.
Kerry joined the Blue Marine finance department in September 2013 and has enjoyed every minute.

Prior to Blue Marine she spent 23 years working in retail, starting on the shop floor and progressing to the role of Area Manager.
Early in her career she was fortunate enough to be granted 4 months leave to backpack around America with a large group of friends, a trip which remains one her best life experiences to date.
She continued her retail career on a part-time basis whilst starting a family.
Kerry lives in the beautiful town of Thaxted with her husband and teenage daughters, Madeleine and Rose. She values family time and loves going for long walks and bike rides with them where possible. Kerry also enjoys painting and cooking for a house full of family and friends.
Kerry and her family enjoy summer holidays to the beautiful Greek Island Kefalonia where she has made a lot of happy memories.
Sophie has over 20 years of experience and has been working at Blue Marine Travel for the last 10 years
Sophie left her native Burgundy in France twenty-five years ago to come to live in England and help language teachers in schools. She realised teaching wasn’t her vocation and decided to turn to the travel industry instead, which she enjoys a lot more.
She now has over 20 years of experience and has been working at Blue Marine Travel for the last 10 years, where she helps overlooking and checking all aspects of the reservations/ticketing/contracts departments.
She tries to discover new places as much as possible when going on holidays.
She likes swimming to keep fit, and loves music and going to gigs.
She is passionate about animals and shares her house with her husband and 4 cats, she also dedicates some of her spare time to help as a volunteer in a local cat shelter.
Heather joined Blue Marine Travel January 2016 as a financial assistant, returning to work after a 3 year early retirement break.

Heather previously worked as a Finance Manager for Marks and Spencer for 12 years before moving to the United States with her husband where she then got a job working in Human Resources as a Training and Development Manager for Pitney Bowes Corporation.
After having 2 boys, Sean and Andrew, they returned back to the UK and Heather worked in the local primary and secondary school as a Curriculum Support Assistant.
Heathers main interest is baking. She is often given the name ‘Mary Berry’ in the office as she regularly treats us all by bringing in cakes and new creations! She also enjoys gardening, walking and playing badminton in her spare time. As her sons are now grown up and have left home, Heather enjoys spending her weekends in Yorkshire as this is one of her favourite places. She is also enjoying her holidays with her husband, her latest travels being Croatia and France.
Evelina has recently joined Blue Marine Travel in October 2015 and is fairly new to the travel industry.
Evelina has recently joined Blue Marine Travel in October 2015 and is fairly new to the travel industry. She completed a 3 year BTEC course in Travel and Tourism in 2012 and now definitely sees herself staying in the travel industry for some time.
Traveling has always been a big passion, but not only laying on the beach or by the pool, but exploring and seeing places.
She also enjoys listening to music, going for long walks, visiting galleries and museums.
Her motto is “Choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life” and that is exactly what she is doing at the moment since joining the Blue Marine Team.
Lori re-joined Blue Marine Travel in July after travelling for 13 months.
Lori re-joined Blue Marine Travel in July after travelling for 13 months. She visited 11 different countries in her time away including Fiji, Thailand and Australia, where she lived for 8 months. She loved every second of her travels and couldn’t give a favourite place as she had too many!
Lori is enjoying being back in England catching up with friends and spending time with family.
In her spare time she is mostly running as she is currently training for a half-marathon. She also enjoys shopping and socialising when she’s not working.
