Singapore has asked all tourists to mask up amid a spike in new Covid cases.
The government issued new guidelines for visiting tourists and Singaporeans to wear masks when out.
The number of cases has reached 56,000 as of December 9, a huge jump on the previous week.
Travellers are asked to don masks at the airport and crowded public places.
Those feeling unwell should stay in their hotel or home until symptoms subside.
“If they have to come into contact while unwell, they must exercise social responsibility by wearing a mask, minimising their social interactions, and avoiding crowded places,” the government said.
The government again highlighted the importance of vaccination.
Singapore is working on opening a new Covid-19 Treatment Facility at Singapore EXPO Hall 10, located near the airport.
