Singapore Airlines Updates KrisFlyer Rewards

Singapore Airlines Updates KrisFlyer Rewards with New Options and Adjusted Redemption Rates

Cheaper Regional Flights and Higher Long-Haul Costs

Singapore Airlines will cut Economy Saver redemption rates for Asia-Pacific flights by five percent while raising Business and First. Saver award redemptions for Europe and United States flights will rise five percent, while Africa, Middle East, and Turkey increase twenty.

Advantage award redemptions will also increase by up to fifteen percent, varying by region and cabin class, reflecting evolving market conditions.

Introducing Access Redemption for Greater Flexibility

From November 1, KrisFlyer members can use Access redemption to immediately secure seats with miles whenever availability exists. This new option adds flexibility by offering redemption opportunities outside traditional Saver and Advantage categories, adapting to fluctuating passenger travel demand.

Miles required under Access redemption will depend on real-time demand for seats and may vary throughout different periods each year.

New Non-Flying Paths to Earn Status Credits

From September 1, KrisFlyer members will earn status credits by spending through Kris+, KrisShop, and Pelago, expanding opportunities for progression. Members can earn Elite miles or PPS Value through non-flight transactions, with annual caps ensuring balanced earning potential across all tiers.

Singapore Airlines says the changes reward loyalty more broadly, offering customers extra pathways to retain or upgrade their tier membership status.
