Ryanair Announces New Summer UK-Portugal Flights

The Irish carrier is aggressively expanding its flight network.

Irish ultra-low-cost carrier Ryanair has announced that it will be commencing service on three new routes from the United Kingdom to Portugal next summer. The announcement comes as the European airline looks to expand further into Portugal and build up its flight network.

Two new flights from the United Kingdom to Porto next summer

Ryanair currently operates flights from four airports in the United Kingdom to the Portuguese city of Porto: Birmingham Airport (BHX), Edinburgh Airport (EDI), London Stansted Airport (STN), and Manchester Airport (MAN). This summer, Bristol Airport (BRS) and Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) will be joining that list, giving The company’s customers that live in or near Bristol or Leeds the ability to fly from an airport closer to home. Flights from Bristol will fly three times a week, while flights from Leeds will fly twice a week.

It is also worth noting that Ryanair will commence flights on a new route from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL) to Porto this spring, giving its customers from the United Kingdom even greater flexibility in terms of airports to fly out of.

In addition to the two new airports in the United Kingdom, Ryanair will also be commencing flights from Porto to nine other cities across France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
