Qatar Airways Expands Flight Frequencies in 2025

Qatar Airways is rapidly expanding its global network, increasing flight frequencies to several key destinations in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. This move aims to meet growing demand and offer passengers more travel options. From added flights to major cities like London and Tokyo to new routes in South America, Qatar Airways is improving connectivity and making travel more convenient.

Increased Frequency on Popular Routes
  • Doha – London Heathrow: Increased to 56 weekly flights, up from 49, after acquiring slots from TAROM.
  • Doha – Tokyo Narita: Increased to 14 weekly flights, up from 11.
  • Doha – Amsterdam: Increased to 11 weekly flights, up from 7 (operating as often as twice daily over winter).
  • Doha – Madrid: Increased to 17 weekly flights, up from 14, bringing the joint service with Iberia to 24 weekly flights.
New Routes and Service Upgrades

Qatar Airways also increased frequencies to several other destinations to accommodate more passengers:

  • Damascus: Increased from 3 weekly flights to 14 (resumed in January after 13 years).
  • Dar Es Salaam – Kilimanjaro: Increased from 3 weekly flights to 7.
  • Entebbe: Increased from 7 weekly flights to 11.
  • Larnaca: Increased from 7 weekly flights to 10.
  • Maputo – Durban: Increased from 5 weekly flights to 7.
  • Sharjah: Increased from 21 weekly flights to 35.
  • Tunis: Increased from 10 weekly flights to 12.
New Routes for 2025
  • Bogotá: Launching in early summer 2025 (schedule TBA).
  • Caracas: Launching in early summer 2025 (schedule TBA).

Qatar Airways’ chief commercial officer, Mr. Thierry Antinori, highlighted the airline’s commitment to enhancing global connectivity. With these new frequencies and routes, Qatar Airways continues to offer passengers greater flexibility and improved travel experiences.
