Philippine Airlines Boosts Manila-Seattle Flights Amid Growing Demand
Philippine Airlines will increase its Manila-Seattle flights from three to five times weekly starting November 25, 2025. The added services, operating on Tuesdays and Thursdays, respond to strong demand on the transpacific route.
PAL launched the nonstop Seattle service in October 2024, offering the only direct link from the Philippines to the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
New Options for Travelers
Flights will now operate every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, giving travelers greater flexibility. This expanded schedule allows better planning for holidays, business trips, and family reunions between the U.S. and the Philippines.
PAL’s Seattle route connects with Alaska Airlines’ extensive U.S. domestic network via Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Passengers benefit from a codeshare agreement and reciprocal loyalty program with Alaska Airlines for seamless onward connections. Seattle’s airport also serves as the West Coast’s largest hub for Alaska Airlines, offering wide U.S. coverage.
Flagship Aircraft and Added Cargo Capacity
The new flights will use Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, configured with 370 seats – 42 in business and 328 in economy class. PAL says the increased frequency adds up to 40 tons of weekly cargo capacity, supporting growing trade flows.
PAL already flies nonstop from Manila to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, and Guam, alongside Seattle. The airline’s U.S. expansion reflects a long-term strategy to strengthen commercial, tourism, and family links across the Pacific.
“This growth highlights Seattle’s value as a key U.S. gateway,” said PAL President Richard Nuttall. He added the move supports Filipino-Americans, vacation travelers, and businesses connecting with the Philippines and beyond.
The expansion solidifies PAL’s position as a key player in transpacific aviation with a growing U.S. footprint. With Seattle now served five times weekly, Philippine Airlines continues to invest in connecting Asia and North America.
