Iberia to Launch Seasonal Madrid-Orlando Flights and Expand Brazil Network
New Seasonal Route: Madrid to Orlando
Iberia will launch a new seasonal route between Madrid and Orlando, Florida, on October 26, 2025. The airline will operate this service four times a week using Airbus A330 aircraft, which can accommodate 254 passengers.
This new addition strengthens Iberia’s transatlantic network, offering a direct link between Spain and one of the United States’ most popular tourist destinations. Orlando is home to world-famous attractions, including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Kennedy Space Center, making it a key destination for leisure travelers.
Expansion into Brazil: New Routes to Recife and Fortaleza
As part of its broader expansion strategy, Iberia is also introducing two new routes to Brazil for the winter 2025/26 season.
- Madrid to Recife: Flights will start on December 13, 2025, with three weekly services. Iberia plans to increase frequency to five weekly flights by February 2026 to accommodate rising demand.
- Madrid to Fortaleza: Service begins on January 19, 2026, with three weekly flights, increasing to four in February 2026.
Aircraft and Cabin Configuration
Both Brazil routes will be operated using the Airbus A321XLR, a long-range narrow-body aircraft designed for efficient international travel. Iberia will configure these planes with 182 seats, split between business and economy class, ensuring a comfortable experience for both premium and budget-conscious travelers.
Strengthening Iberia’s Global Presence
These new routes demonstrate Iberia’s commitment to expanding its long-haul network, particularly in key leisure and business markets. By increasing connectivity between Spain, the U.S., and Brazil, the airline aims to capture growing demand while providing passengers with more nonstop travel options.
