Spain’s largest airline rolls out dynamic passes that keep passengers informed every step of the way.
A smarter way to board
Iberia has introduced a new feature designed to ease one of the most common travel stressors, gate anxiety. Its new dynamic boarding passes update automatically in real time through the Iberia app or mobile wallet.
These passes notify travellers of gate changes, seat reassignment, or cabin upgrades as they happen. Instead of anxiously watching airport screens, passengers can now rely on direct push notifications to their phones.
Goodbye, gate anxiety
For many travellers, reaching the airport gate is the only moment they relax. Fear of missing updates, sudden changes, or distant gates often keeps people glued to screens.
With Iberia’s new boarding pass, that worry disappears, travellers are instantly alerted of changes. Passengers can now enjoy airport amenities without constantly checking the boards.
The real-time updating boarding pass is available in the Iberia app for both iOS and Android. It also works when downloaded to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet from Iberia’s website. Email updates will still be sent, but the dynamic pass offers faster, more efficient communication.
Part of a bigger innovation push
The dynamic boarding pass is part of Iberia’s broader plan to improve the passenger experience. The airline recently introduced Iberia GPT, a ChatGPT-powered assistant that helps plan trips interactively.
It also launched Háblalo x Iberia, an app that supports travelers with communication difficulties.
Iberia is also integrating Apple AirTag tracking into its baggage operations. This allows passengers to share their luggage’s location and keep tabs throughout their journey. It’s another example of how Iberia is investing in technology to enhance travel confidence and convenience.
