Award-Winning Aussie Chef Brings Bold New Menu to First and Business Class Flights

Qatar Airways is redefining inflight dining with a new partnership. From 12 June 2025, Ross Lusted’s exclusive menu launches onboard.

Available to First and Business Class passengers departing Australia to Doha. The collaboration includes Virgin Australia flights, via their codeshare partnership. Lusted, owner of Sydney’s Woodcut and Melbourne’s Marmelo, brings bold flavour onboard.

A Celebration of Australian Produce

Every dish celebrates the best locally-sourced Australian ingredients. Seafood, meats, and produce are selected for quality and sustainability.

Passengers can expect seasonal menus that rotate every three months. Each plate reflects Lusted’s commitment to clean, bold, woodfire-inspired cuisine.

What’s on the Menu?

First Class starts strong with Fraser Island Spanner Crab Cakes. A Black Angus Beef Tenderloin with tarragon butter follows. For dessert, textures of Chocolate with crisp rice and dark sauce.

Business Class includes Seared Cured Fish with sesame and young ginger. Lamb Osso Buco and Basque Cheesecake complete the experience.

Lusted’s philosophy is to let ingredients shine, even at 30,000 feet. Flavours and textures must adapt to cabin conditions without compromise.

The carrier now flies 28 additional weekly flights between Australia and Doha. Passengers can enjoy world-class food as they connect globally via Doha.
