Etihad Expands Its Asian Network With Seven New Destinations in 2025

Etihad Airways is significantly growing its Asian route map, introducing flights to seven exciting cities across the region in 2025.

Fly to Chiang Mai This November

Starting 3 November, Etihad launches flights to Chiang Mai on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

• Flights leave Abu Dhabi at 21:10, landing in Chiang Mai at 05:55 the next day.
• Return flights depart on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 08:45, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 13:00.

Daily Flights to Krabi Begin 9 October

From 9 October, Etihad offers daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Krabi.

• Flights leave Abu Dhabi at 08:50 and land in Krabi at 18:40.
• Return flights depart Krabi at 20:40 and reach Abu Dhabi at 00:30 the next day.

Hanoi Gets Daily Etihad Service

Also starting 3 November, Etihad will fly daily to Hanoi.

• Flights leave Abu Dhabi at 08:50 and land in Hanoi at 18:10.
• Return flights depart Hanoi at 19:25 and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 00:30 the next day.

Five Flights Weekly to Hong Kong

From 3 November, Etihad introduces flights to Hong Kong on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

• Flights depart Abu Dhabi at 21:45 and land at 08:40 the following morning.
• Return flights operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, departing at 19:25.

Medan Joins the Network on 2 October

From 2 October, Etihad will fly to Medan on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

• Flights leave Abu Dhabi at 21:10 and arrive in Medan at 07:10 the next morning.
• Return flights operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departing Medan at 09:05.

Phnom Penh Flights Launch 3 October

Etihad adds Phnom Penh to its route list starting 3 October.

• Flights operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departing Abu Dhabi at 21:10.
• Return flights operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, leaving Phnom Penh at 08:40.

Taipei Welcomes Etihad From 7 September

Daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Taipei begin on 7 September.

• Flights depart at 21:45 and arrive in Taipei at 09:50 the following day.
• Return flights leave Taipei at 19:35, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 00:15.

Etihad further Increases Moscow Flights

From 1 October, Etihad adds a third daily flight to Moscow, boosting weekly flights from 14 to 21.

• The new flight departs Abu Dhabi at 09:00 and arrives in Moscow at 14:05.
• The return flight leaves Moscow at 17:25 and arrives at 00:10 the next day.

Etihad Eyes São Paulo Return in 2026

Etihad has applied for slots to resume São Paulo flights in summer 2026. This will mark a return to Brazil after suspending the route in 2017. The move aligns with Etihad’s global expansion strategy under CEO Antonoaldo Neves.

Etihad and Ethiopian Launch Joint Venture

Etihad and Ethiopian Airlines have signed a landmark joint venture agreement in Addis Ababa. The partnership includes new flights between Abu Dhabi and Addis Ababa starting 1 October. Ethiopian Airlines begins flights from 15 July using Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft. The deal boosts connectivity between Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

Passengers can now access more destinations, enjoy better transfer options, and expect high-quality service on both carriers. The JV also includes codeshare agreements and future cooperation on loyalty programs, training, and cargo.
