Emirates Expands Network with More Retrofitted Aircraft and A380 Deployments
New Upgrades Coming to Milan, Shanghai, Singapore, Zurich, Rio, and Buenos Aires
Emirates will expand its global schedule from 26 October, adding more retrofitted Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s to key routes. These enhancements respond to rising demand and offer more passengers the chance to enjoy Emirates’ acclaimed Premium Economy cabin.
Increased Flights and Bigger Aircraft
- Emirates will add a third daily flight to Milan using a Boeing 777-300ER, increasing options for travellers between Dubai and Italy.
- Linked services to Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires will become daily flights, offering more flexibility for South American passengers.
- From 20 July, Emirates will operate its retrofitted Boeing 777 to Shanghai on EK302/303, before upgrading it to an A380.
- A second daily Shanghai service, EK304/305, will be served by a retrofitted Boeing 777, enhancing comfort across both flights.
- The third daily Dubai–Singapore route will switch to an A380 this winter, bringing Emirates’ flagship aircraft back to Southeast Asia.
Zurich Gets a Premium Upgrade
From 1 February 2026, Emirates will upgrade its second daily Zurich flight, EK85/86, from a Boeing 777 to an A380.
The airline will also launch its Premium Economy cabin on flight EK87/88 with a newly retrofitted A380 on the same date.
Fleet Retrofit Programme Surges Ahead
Since November 2022, Emirates has retrofitted 60 aircraft, completing one full refresh every three weeks with impressive consistency. Each retrofitted Boeing 777 now features four cabin classes, including 24 Premium Economy seats with upgraded comfort and design.
On the A380, 56 Premium Economy seats are located at the front of the main deck in a 2-4-2 layout. The seats offer extra width and pitch, in-seat charging, and side cocktail tables for work or relaxation during the flight.
Stronger Than Ever Despite Global Challenges
Emirates continues to grow despite a dynamic operating environment, meeting demand across both summer and upcoming winter schedules. Passengers can look forward to flying on refreshed aircraft with better comfort, modern amenities, and enhanced in-flight experiences.
Whether travelling for business or leisure, Emirates is committed to offering a world-class journey across its expanding network.
