Changes to UK-Paris Flights
easyJet will end flights between Paris Orly and two UK airports, Bristol and Manchester, from March 28. The airline confirmed that it will no longer operate these routes following a review of its network. However, passengers can still fly daily from both airports to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), the French capital’s primary international hub.
A spokesperson for easyJet stated, “We concentrate our efforts on maintaining and developing routes with the greatest demand.” While the Bristol and Manchester Orly routes are being cut, easyJet will introduce a new service from Southampton to Paris Orly, running twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays from March 31.
Adjustments to easyJet’s French Network
The cancellation of these UK-Orly routes comes amid a wider shake-up of easyJet’s French operations. Last year, the airline announced the closure of its Toulouse base in April 2025, leading to concerns about reductions in flights across France. While easyJet has cut half the flights from Toulouse, it has also added seasonal routes between France, the UK, and other international destinations.
Despite these changes, easyJet remains committed to key UK-France routes. The airline reassured passengers that it continues to serve Bristol and Manchester with daily flights to Charles de Gaulle, which offers connections to over 80 destinations from Bristol and 88 from Manchester.
Why Paris Orly Matters
Paris Orly is smaller and quieter than Charles de Gaulle, located in the southern suburbs of Paris. Some travelers prefer Orly as a regional hub with shorter security lines and fewer crowds. However, getting to central Paris from Orly takes longer, making CDG the preferred choice for many international travelers.
The discontinued routes had short flight times, with Manchester-Orly taking 1 hour 45 minutes and Bristol-Orly taking 1 hour 25 minutes. With these routes removed, travelers from Bristol and Manchester will need to fly into Charles de Gaulle instead.
