Direct Flights Now Connect Nice and Washington D.C.

A new United Airlines route boosts travel between the French Riviera and the U.S. capital.

Flying between Nice and Washington D.C. just got easier. United Airlines launched direct flights on May 23, 2025. The service runs four times a week and is seasonal. It adds over 30% more seats between Nice and the U.S. this summer.

A Game-Changer for Transatlantic Travel

This is United’s first direct route between Nice and Washington D.C. It builds on the airline’s seasonal Nice-New York/Newark service.

Flights from Nice depart at 10:05 AM and arrive in D.C. at 1:55 PM local time.

Return flights leave D.C. at 5:20 PM and land in Nice at 8:00 AM the next day.

Greater Access to Over 130 U.S. Cities

Thanks to Washington Dulles’ vast network, passengers can easily connect to more than 130 destinations across the Americas.

United operates more than 250 daily flights from Washington D.C., including to 21 world capitals.

Nice Airport Expands to Meet Demand

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport plans to increase annual passenger capacity from 15 to 18 million by 2030. New restaurants and infrastructure are opening to support growing traffic.

Rising American Interest in the Riviera

The new route reflects booming American demand. U.S. tourist stays in the Côte d’Azur topped 620,000 in 2024—up 10% since 2019.

For the first time ever, American visitors outnumber those from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and even Italy.

United’s International Expansion Continues

This route is part of United’s largest international expansion ever. Other new summer destinations include Bilbao, Palermo, Faro, and Dakar.

United remains the U.S. carrier flying to the most international cities worldwide.

Onboard Comfort for All Travelers

The Nice-D.C. flight is operated with a Boeing 767-300. It features 30 Polaris business suites, 24 Premium Plus seats, and 149 Economy seats. Complimentary meals, drinks, and entertainment are available in all cabins.

“Our new nonstop flight enables even greater travel choice,” said Grégoire Dutoit of United Airlines. This launch marks a milestone for seamless transatlantic travel from the Côte d’Azur.
