Croatia Airlines Expands Network for Summer 2025

Croatia Airlines is expanding its network from Zagreb with the introduction of new routes to Milan Malpensa, Prague, Bucharest, Madrid, and Hamburg. These new additions will restore city connections previously offered before the pandemic.

Between April and October, Croatia Airlines will increase its departures from Croatia by 27 to 33 flights per week, adding between 7,900 and 9,900 outbound seats weekly during the summer season. The airline is focusing on meeting rising travel demand during the peak months.

Key Route Resumptions and Expansions

Several seasonal routes will return earlier than planned. Flights from Zagreb to Berlin and Stockholm, which began on 20 May last year, will resume on 1 April and 2 April, respectively. Additionally, the Zagreb–Tirana route will restart on 25 May, ahead of its originally scheduled relaunch on 14 June.

To accommodate higher demand, Croatia Airlines is increasing frequency on several existing routes:

  • Split–Istanbul will resume on 6 May, now operating five weekly flights, up from three.
  • Zagreb–Barcelona will expand from three to four weekly rotations.
  • Split–Oslo and Split–Berlin will each double from one to two weekly flights.

In Dubrovnik, the airline will increase services on the Dubrovnik–Prague route from one to two weekly flights. The Dubrovnik–Zurich service will also grow from four to five weekly rotations.

The expansion plans are subject to the delivery of six A220 aircraft expected over the next ten months. Any delays in the aircraft’s delivery timeline may lead to adjustments in the flight schedule, according to Ex-Yu Aviation.

Strengthening Connectivity

These route additions and frequency increases aim to enhance Croatia Airlines’ connectivity and accommodate growing travel demand during the busy summer months. The airline’s expansion comes as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in Europe and provide more convenient travel options for passengers.

With these changes, Croatia Airlines is well-positioned to offer more options for travelers flying from Croatia to popular European destinations while meeting the surging demand for air travel.
