Hong Kong’s home carrier Cathay Pacific unveiled its all-new Premium Economy cabin product.
It presented enhancements at a Customer Experience Showcase at the Freespace in Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District this week.
The new Premium Economy cabin is coming to its retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft this year.
The airline also showcased a new selection of Chinese wines, which are currently being served to customers in First and Business class for a limited time only.
It also highlighted dining collaborations with Hong Kong restaurants.
“Our investments in augmenting the customer experience are all part of our continuous efforts to become the best premium airline,” said Vivian Lo GM, Customer Experience and Design.
The new premium Economy features intelligent lighting design and modern fixtures.
There are privacy wings with a reading light next to the headrest, and a 15.6-inch 4K ultra-high-definition screen with 4K on demand.
The airline has partnered with leading winemakers to offer an exclusive selection of fine Chinese wines.
These wines are available for customers travelling on long-haul routes until May 2024, and can also be purchased on the Cathay Shop.
Bespoke menus have been curated by Michelin-starred French restaurant Louise, plus an all-new selection of “Hong Kong Flavours” developed in collaboration with Cantonese fine-dining institution Duddell’s.
