Cathay and Uber Taxi have joined forces in Hong Kong to let riders earn Asia Miles on every taxi journey. The partnership started on 3 October 2025, turning everyday rides into opportunities to collect rewards toward future adventures.

Riders can earn 20 Asia Miles for each Uber Taxi trip and 40 Asia Miles for airport transfers. New Uber app users also receive 500 Asia Miles as a welcome bonus when they complete their first Uber trip.

Bringing Ground and Air Travel Closer Together

Cathay’s GM Asia Miles, Flora Hui, said the partnership helps members earn miles through convenient daily travel in Hong Kong. She added that even short rides can now bring members closer to their next getaway with added comfort and rewards.

Uber Hong Kong’s GM, Estyn Chung, said the collaboration connects everyday commutes with air travel, creating seamless experiences for customers. Both companies aim to make travel more rewarding and to integrate on-the-ground mobility with long-haul flight experiences.

Future Offers and Bonuses Ahead

Uber Taxi will launch bonus miles and limited-time promotions to give Cathay members more rewarding opportunities for everyday travel in Hong Kong. Travellers can link their Cathay membership accounts in the Uber app to begin earning Asia Miles immediately on every Uber Taxi trip.
