American Airlines Launches Exclusive Nonstop Flights to Bimini from Miami in February 2026

AA Adds Bimini as a Brand-New Destination

American Airlines will begin nonstop flights from Miami to South Bimini Airport on February 14, 2026, launching on Valentine’s Day. This route establishes the only nonstop service between the US and Bimini, previously accessible through regional Bahamian carriers.

The addition expands American’s Bahamas network to seven destinations, including Nassau, Freeport, George Town, Governor’s Harbour, Marsh Harbour, and North Eleuthera.

Flight Schedule and Aircraft Details Confirmed

Flights will operate three times weekly – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Using Envoy Air’s Embraer 175 jets, accommodating travellers with comfortable seating and connectivity.

Covering only 64 miles, the Miami-to-Bimini service becomes American’s shortest scheduled flight, slightly shorter than the Chicago-to-Milwaukee route. Miami International Airport, serving as a hub, ensures convenient same-day connections across domestic and international destinations worldwide.

Broader Network Expansion Across Florida and Beyond

American announced daily service from Miami to Milan beginning March 29, 2026. Further expanding transatlantic travel opportunities for leisure and business. The carrier also confirmed new daily routes connecting Sarasota Bradenton International Airport and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport directly with Miami International Airport.

Upcoming enhancements include free high-speed Wi-Fi on most flights, reflecting American’s continued commitment to delivering convenience, connectivity, and innovative passenger experiences.
