American Airlines won’t operate regular scheduled Tel Aviv flights again until December.
The Texas based carrier is suspending all flights to Ben Gurion International Airport through December 4.
This gives booked customers extra flexibility with rebooking and free change waivers, it says.
“We will continue working closely with our partner airlines to offer assistance to those looking to exit Tel Aviv,” the airline said.
Rival Delta Air Lines earlier announced it has suspended Tel Aviv flights through October 31.
United Airline is more open minded.
It has dropped Tel Aviv flights ‘until conditions allow them to resume,’ it said.
That leaves flag carrier El Al as the main carrier flying nonstop from the US, which will likely put pressure on airfares.
