Alaska Airlines and Philippine Airlines Announce Exciting New Partnership
Alaska Airlines has signed a new partnership agreement with Philippine Airlines, marking a milestone in global connectivity. This move makes PAL the Seattle-based carrier’s 32nd airline partner, expanding its reach across the Pacific region.
Mileage Plan Members Gain More Ways to Travel
Later this year, Alaska customers can book Philippine Airlines flights and earn or redeem Mileage Plan miles on those journeys. Travelers will soon enjoy codeshare options across PAL’s extensive network from the U.S. to the Philippines and beyond.
Connecting Major Hubs Across the Pacific
Philippine Airlines flies from Manila to Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Honolulu with frequent, long-haul service. These routes directly link PAL with Alaska’s West Coast hubs, making travel between the two countries easier and more rewarding.
“This partnership benefits large Filipino communities across Hawai‘i, California, and Washington,”said Brett Catlin, Alaska’s VP of Loyalty. “They can now travel on PAL’s widebody aircraft while earning Mileage Plan miles on their transpacific journeys.”
PAL Joins Mileage Plan as First U.S. Partner
This collaboration marks Philippine Airlines’ first loyalty partnership with a U.S.-based airline—an exciting step for both carriers.
Alaska also becomes PAL’s first North American loyalty partner, allowing travelers to connect more seamlessly across regions.
Frequent and Convenient Service to Manila
PAL offers five weekly nonstops from Honolulu, three from Seattle, two daily from Los Angeles, and one daily from San Francisco. From Manila, travelers can connect to dozens of cities across Asia, enjoying a streamlined booking and loyalty experience.
Partnership Supports Heritage and Community
Announcing this alliance during Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month carries added cultural significance. It strengthens ties between Filipino communities and brings added convenience, flexibility, and value to their global journeys.
This partnership builds on PAL’s existing codeshare with Hawaiian Airlines, now enhanced through the Alaska-Hawaiian alliance. HawaiianMiles and Mileage Plan members can link accounts, earn miles, and enjoy elite status benefits across all three airlines.
PAL Celebrates the Collaboration
“We are proud to work with Alaska Airlines,” said Alvin M. Miranda, PAL’s VP for Marketing. “This strategic partnership gives Mabuhay Miles members more flight options, flexibility, and a richer travel experience.”
Earn More Miles, Faster
Mileage Plan members booking PAL flights will earn 100% of the miles flown on every partner flight. In premium cabins, they’ll receive up to 250% of the miles flown—maximizing loyalty benefits every step of the way.
A Stronger Pacific Network for Global Travelers
This Alaska–PAL partnership represents another powerful step toward building a more connected, flexible, and rewarding travel network. Passengers can look forward to enhanced service, more destinations, and unmatched opportunities to earn and redeem miles.
