Airport Transit Requirements for Non-British Passport holders

If you have a valid UK Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) and you are a national of another country, you no longer require a transit visa when travelling via Amsterdam or Paris, provided you remain in the airport’s international transit zone (airside).

The same would apply for UK eVisa (online immigration status) holders, as of January 2025. Please always refer to TravelDoc for the selected dates of travel.

Note:
• Nationals who require a Schengen visa to enter the Netherlands or France would need a visa if their journey includes a double stop via Amsterdam and Paris (e.g. LHR-AMS-CDG-LOS).
• A valid UK visa does not exempt you from transit visa requirements via Amsterdam or Paris.
