Air Tahiti Nui, Air Tahiti Sign New Codeshare Deal
Air Tahiti Nui and Air Tahiti have signed a new codeshare agreement to simplify travel to and within French Polynesia.
Stronger Connections Across the Pacific
The agreement was signed on December 22, 2025, strengthening cooperation between the two Polynesian airlines. It supports Air Tahiti Nui’s strategy to enhance its Pacific island network for international travellers.
The partnership focuses on smoother onward connections for long-haul passengers arriving in Tahiti. Initially, the codeshare will improve access to Bora Bora and Rarotonga in the Cook Islands.
Both airlines aim to make journeys more seamless and reduce the complexity of inter-island travel. The deal also enhances connectivity to some of the South Pacific’s most desirable holiday destinations.
Codeshare Launches June 2026
From June 2, 2026, Air Tahiti Nui will place its “TN” code on selected Air Tahiti-operated flights. Passengers will be able to book a single ticket from Paris, Auckland, Tokyo, or Los Angeles.
- Bora Bora will be served by up to six daily flights under the codeshare arrangement.
- Rarotonga will be available twice weekly, expanding Air Tahiti Nui’s regional reach.
Fleet and Network Alignment
- Air Tahiti Nui operates its long-haul routes using Boeing 787-9 Tahitian Dreamliners.
- Air Tahiti handles inter-island services with its ATR 72 aircraft.
Executives described the agreement as a milestone in a long-standing commercial partnership. The airlines expect improved journey continuity and stronger appeal across their combined networks.
