Air India Expands Global Reach with New Interline Partnerships
Four New Airline Partners Boost Connectivity
Air India has signed interline agreements with airBaltic, Bulgaria Air, Cyprus Airways, and Uzbekistan Airways.
The deals were finalised during the IATA Annual General Meeting in New Delhi. These partnerships allow single-ticket bookings and through-checked baggage for smoother global travel.
Air India Opens Doors to the Baltics
The airBaltic partnership connects Air India passengers to Rīga, Tallinn, and Vilnius. These routes will be accessible via major European hubs including Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, and London Gatwick.
In return, airBaltic customers gain one-ticket access to over 30 Indian cities through Air India. Destinations include Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and more.
New Services Simplify Travel Experience
Air India continues to roll out self-check-in and baggage drop services across its global network. Originally launched in the US and Australia, the service now covers Europe, the UK, and Canada.
Passengers can use kiosks to print boarding passes and baggage tags in minutes. Airports offering the service include London Heathrow and Gatwick, Paris, Vienna, and Toronto.
Strategic Growth and Rising Revenues
Chief Commercial Officer Nipun Aggarwal says the new partnerships strengthen Air India’s worldwide network. “These agreements improve access to and from the Baltics, benefiting our global guests,” he noted.
Air India reported an 11% revenue increase in FY25, reaching approximately $7 billion.
These moves reflect the airline’s commitment to seamless travel and global expansion.
