Air France unveils its ambitious plans for the summer of 2024

Air France has unveiled its ambitious plans for the summer of 2024, marking a significant expansion of its network with the introduction of new non-stop flights and the resumption of services to several key destinations. The airline aims to enhance its connectivity and offer passengers more travel options, reinforcing its commitment to diversifying its network.

In the medium-haul segment, Air France is set to add three new cities to its Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub. Verona (Italy) will witness up to three flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, starting from April 2, 2024, utilising Embraer 190 aircraft. Narvik, the gateway to the stunning Lofoten Islands in Norway, will be served by one weekly flight every Saturday from June 15 to August 31, 2024, using Airbus A319 aircraft. Additionally, Kalamata (Greece) will be connected with one weekly flight every Saturday from July 6 to August 31, operated on Airbus A319 aircraft. Furthermore, Air France’s existing winter flights to Tromsø (Norway) will be extended into the summer season, with up to two flights a week from Paris-Charles de Gaulle on Airbus A319.

In the long-haul segment, Air France will resume flights to Minneapolis (Minnesota, USA) on May 13, 2024. This daily service, previously operated via Delta Air Lines in the summer of 2023, will utilize Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The Paris-Charles de Gaulle – Raleigh-Durham (North Carolina) route, inaugurated in the winter of 2023, will see an extension into the summer of 2024, featuring an increased frequency of up to seven flights weekly, compared to three flights a week in winter 2023-2024. The flights will be operated with Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

Expanding its footprint in North America, Air France’s total number of destinations for the summer will reach 23, covering major cities such as Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York JFK, San Francisco, Toronto, and Washington DC, among others.

Turning eastward, the Paris-Charles de Gaulle – Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) route, introduced in the winter of 2023, will continue into the summer of 2024 with daily flights operated by A350-900 aircraft. This move reflects Air France’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the Middle East and providing passengers with seamless connectivity.

Air France’s strategic network expansion for the summer of 2024 demonstrates its proactive approach in adapting to evolving travel demands and reinforcing its position as a leading global airline committed to providing diverse and convenient travel options for passengers around the world.
