Air France Extends Cape Town-Paris Route for 2025

Air France has announced an extension of its seasonal flight service between Cape Town and Paris-Charles de Gaulle, meeting the growing demand for travel to and from South Africa’s vibrant coastal city. Traditionally concluding at the end of March, the service will now operate until April 27, 2025, offering enhanced connectivity during the Easter holidays and Cape Town’s autumn tourist season.

From March 30 to April 27, Air France will operate three weekly flights on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Flight AF0871 departs Cape Town International Airport at 23h35, arriving in Paris at 11h00 the following day. The return flight, AF0882, leaves Paris at 10h10, landing in Cape Town at 21h30.

Wilson Tauro, Country Manager Southern Africa for Air France-KLM, highlighted the extension as part of the airline’s commitment to supporting increased travel demand. “This move allows passengers to enjoy Air France’s renowned in-flight service while maintaining seamless connections between two iconic destinations,” he said.

Adding to the excitement, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Air France’s sister airline, is also boosting capacity. From January 10, 2025, KLM will introduce an additional direct flight between Amsterdam and Cape Town, increasing its frequency to 10 flights per week until the end of the summer season.

With Cape Town’s summer season in full swing and international interest in the Mother City soaring, these expanded services reflect the region’s growing prominence as a global tourist hotspot. Whether for leisure or business, passengers can now enjoy even greater access to world-class service and convenient travel options between Europe and South Africa.
