British Airways Expands Short-Haul and Long-Haul

British Airways Expands Short-Haul and Long-Haul Network for Winter 2025 and Summer 2026

New Year-Round Routes to Graz and Rabat Strengthen European and African Connections

British Airways will launch two new destinations this winter, with BA Euroflyer operating year-round flights to Graz and Rabat. Graz will join Vienna, Salzburg, and Innsbruck, expanding British Airways’ Austrian network, with three times weekly flights.

Rabat becomes the airline’s third Moroccan destination, alongside Marrakech and Agadir, with flights scheduled twice per week starting November fifth. Graz Airport officials highlighted that London was previously the largest unserved market, with new flights benefiting regional economy.

Passengers traveling from Graz will now access connecting flights across the oneworld alliance, improving travel options through London Gatwick conveniently. Both new short-haul routes include Club Europe service, offering business-class passengers access to British Airways’ recently refreshed Gatwick premium lounges.

BA Cityflyer will introduce flights from London City Airport to Madrid, Spain, starting December, providing frequent and consistent travel options.

Long-Haul Expansion for Summer 2026 Adds Seats Without Opening New Destinations

British Airways will increase long-haul frequencies, meeting growing demand for premium and leisure travel across high-traffic routes to global destinations.

Year-round Bangkok flights from London Gatwick will operate three times weekly, increasing winter services to six weekly flights.

The expansion includes codeshare with Bangkok Airways, enabling seamless connections to Phuket, Phnom Penh, and other Asia-Pacific destinations.

Kingston, Jamaica, will receive an additional weekly service from London Gatwick, totalling four weekly flights and adding over three hundred.

In the U.S, British Airways will reintroduce double-daily London Heathrow–Miami services and daily flights to Dallas-Fort Worth for enhanced connectivity.

Flights to Las Vegas will increase from ten to thirteen weekly, while San Diego and Austin will each receive fourteen flights weekly.

New York services will operate exclusively from London Heathrow with nine daily frequencies, ensuring optimal onward connections across Europe, North America, and beyond efficiently.

Middle East Frequencies Boost Options for Business and Leisure Travelers

British Airways will operate daily flights from London Heathrow to Bahrain, more than doubling weekly service and improving booking flexibility for passengers.

Services to Saudi Arabia will expand, with Jeddah receiving five weekly flights and Riyadh upgraded to fourteen weekly flights for summer 2026 season.

Doha, Qatar, will also see fourteen weekly services, providing business and leisure travelers significantly more choice, convenience, and flexibility when planning international travel.

British Airways’ winter and summer network expansion reflects the airline’s strategy of combining short-haul growth with high-demand long-haul frequency improvements globally.
