Qatar Airways Becomes First Airline to Fully Equip Boeing 777 Fleet with Starlink Wi-Fi
Passengers now enjoy free high-speed internet across more global routes
Qatar Airways has set a new standard in in-flight connectivity by completing the Starlink installation on its entire Boeing 777 fleet. The airline, recently named the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax 2025, now operates 54 Starlink-equipped aircraft, more than any other airline globally.
Fastest Wi-Fi in the Sky
Passengers can enjoy free gate-to-gate Wi-Fi speeds of up to 500 Mbps on every Starlink-connected flight. Whether streaming Netflix, gaming online, or working mid-air, the connection remains fast, stable, and secure.
This service is available to both Premium and Economy passengers at no extra cost.
Rollout Completed Ahead of Schedule
Qatar Airways originally planned the programme as a two-year initiative. But the airline completed installation in just nine months cutting the retrofit time per aircraft to under 10 hours. Operations continued seamlessly throughout the upgrade, with no disruption to scheduled flights.
With the Boeing 777 rollout now complete, the airline has shifted focus to its Airbus A350 fleet. Qatar Airways aims to bring Starlink to even more routes across its network of over 170 destinations. The A350 installation programme is expected to wrap up within the next year.

Qatar Airways remains the only carrier in the Middle East and North Africa offering Starlink Wi-Fi.
