JetBlue Resumes Two Nonstop Fort Lauderdale Routes

Two Popular Routes Return

JetBlue is restarting two key nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport this summer.

  • Beginning July 3, travelers can fly directly to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).
  • Then, starting July 17, JetBlue will also resume flights to Guayaquil, Ecuador (GYE).

Both routes had previously been paused during a network optimisation effort.

Schedules That Work for Travelers

  • Flight 2016 departs at 8 a.m., arrives 10:50 a.m.
  • Flight 2202 departs at 4:10 p.m., arrives 7 p.m.

Philadelphia to Fort Lauderdale:

  • Flight 217 departs at 7:55 p.m., arrives 10:45 p.m.

Fort Lauderdale to Guayaquil:

Guayaquil to Fort Lauderdale:

Comfortable, Connected Travel

Both routes will use JetBlue’s Airbus A320 aircraft. Expect free snacks, high-speed Wi-Fi, and seatback entertainment. JetBlue promises a comfortable flight experience from start to finish.

These resumed routes reflect JetBlue’s evolving network strategy. JetBlue increased South Florida departures by 6% year-over-year. Despite a slight dip in passengers recently, JetBlue remains strong at FLL. In 2024, the airline had 19% market share at the airport.

Strengthening South Florida Presence

With these additions, JetBlue now operates 70+ daily flights from Fort Lauderdale. These flights cover over 30 destinations, including many in Latin America and the Caribbean. This marks the most summer flights of any airline from FLL to those regions.

“We’re making it easier for customers to visit loved ones or explore new places,” said Daniel Shurz of JetBlue. “These routes show our long-term commitment to South Florida,” he added.
