EasyJet Announces New Bordeaux-Edinburgh Route for Summer

EasyJet is adding a new direct route between Bordeaux and Edinburgh this summer. The airline will operate flights twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, from June 26 to the end of August.

Expanding EasyJet’s Bordeaux Network

This new route connects Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport in southwest France with Edinburgh Airport, offering the only direct service between Scotland and Bordeaux. With this addition, easyJet will serve a total of 40 destinations from Bordeaux, including a new route to Birmingham launching on May 1.

Other international additions this summer include flights to Corfu, Dubrovnik, and Faro. A route to Budapest is expected to launch in winter.

Industry Leaders Welcome the Expansion

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, called Bordeaux the “ultimate culinary break” and highlighted the convenience of the new service. “By expanding our network in Scotland, we are providing greater connectivity for our customers,” she said.

Kate Sherry, chief commercial officer at Edinburgh Airport, welcomed the announcement. “I’m sure these new flights to Bordeaux will go down a treat with passengers,” she said.

Strengthening Travel Links

The new route enhances travel between Scotland and France, making Bordeaux more accessible for both business and leisure travelers.
