Lufthansa has officially reopened its Business Lounge at London Heathrow’s Terminal 2 following an extensive refurbishment. The lounge, which closed for renovations in October 2024, now boasts a modernized design and enhanced amenities for premium travelers.
A Fresh New Look and Enhanced Comfort
The redesigned lounge features plush furnishings, modern hanging lights, and chain curtains that create distinct workspaces. Wall panels have been upgraded to improve acoustics, providing a quieter and more comfortable environment. The refreshed space can accommodate up to 350 guests across 1,600 square meters.
Premium Amenities for Business Travelers
Lufthansa’s Business Lounge offers an array of amenities designed to enhance the travel experience. Guests can enjoy:
- A buffet with a selection of food and beverages
- Complimentary newspapers and magazines
- High-speed WiFi
- Printing and photocopying facilities
- Lockers for secure storage
- Two private phone booths for discreet calls
- A TV lounge area
- Panoramic views of the runway
Senator Lounge: A Refined First-Class Experience
Within the Business Lounge, Lufthansa’s exclusive Senator Lounge, reserved for First Class passengers, has also received an upgrade. The space now features new seating and redesigned workspaces, catering to travelers who require privacy and a premium experience before their flight.
Lufthansa’s Northern Europe Senior Director of Sales, Sven Thaler, expressed enthusiasm about the lounge’s reopening:

Part of a Wider Lounge Revamp at Heathrow
Lufthansa’s lounge refurbishment follows similar upgrades at London Heathrow Terminal 2, including the refreshed Aer Lingus and Singapore Airlines lounges, both of which reopened in late 2024. Aer Lingus also introduced a new menu as part of its enhancements.
The Lufthansa Business Lounge is now open daily from 04:15 to 22:00, offering travelers a premium and comfortable space to relax, work, and refresh before their flights.
