When you are crewing on a yacht and you have some time off there is nothing better than to be in a great marina with good facilities.
Whilst crewing on a yacht I was privileged enough to have some time in the marina Yacht Haven Grande in St Thomas.
As the Caribbean is widely known as a duty free shopper’s paradise and the Yacht Haven Grande has a selection of shops for you to choose from. The tropical village includes Gucci, Bulgari, Bebe, Louis Vuitton, Cache and others.
Before starting work most mornings, I used to visit the Bad Ass Coffee Shop, coffee that is described as “coffee with attitude” there is a wide selection of coffee’s to help you get your morning caffeine kick. Other places to eat include The Fat Turtle which is great for cocktails and casual dining, or the Fresh Bistro for something a little more up market.
It you need to pamper yourself stop by the Sugar and Spice salon and spa. They offer a range of salon treatments and spa experiences.
If you fancy a little exercise after work there is an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and volley ball.
